How Does TracFone Straight Talk Unlimited Work?

by John on March 25, 2013

The TracFone Straight Talk Unlimited plan has quickly established itself as one of the go-to economical no-contract phone plans out there.  From frugal spenders to those who just like to find and use a good deal, Straight Talk has been making customers switch to prepaid for the past couple of years since it has been available online at its own proprietary website and in WalMart stores across the country.

New Straight Talk Cell Phones

You may have heard of the TracFone Straight Talk no contract plans because they recently released a slate of new phones.  I was at the beach and I ran into a friend who had one of the new smart phone Straight Talk models and I couldn’t believe she had it already.  I hadn’t even heard of it and I write a ton about cell phones on my blog and in guest posts like this one.  Anyways, she had the brand new Nokia E5 smart phone that I had been waiting to see be released.  She showed me some of the functions of this phone.  Surely it’s no iphone, but it’s a nice phone nonetheless.

Straight Talk Unlimited

Straight Talk is a company wholly owned by TracFone.  They are not the same entity, one just owns the other.  But still, many people refer to it as TracFone Straight Talk.  The unlimited plan costs $45 per month and gives the customer unlimited talk time, text messaging, and web browsing.  Yep, you read that right, unlimited web browsing.  A lot of people get excited when they hear this, but you want to make sure that the phone you select has a good enough screen to actually take advantage of the web browsing capability of Straight Talk phones.  There are a couple of other things you get with this plan.  One is free 411 calls.  This is kind of a cool option that may save you money, even though it is probably just as easy to find the information you need online (again, you have unlimited web browsing).  Make sure to take a look at a lot of different pay as you go phones before you make your choice because there are a ton of really good deals out there.
