You can now use an iPhone with Straight Talk’s prepaid unlimited cell phone plan.  This is big time news for people who have been wanting to use an iPhone with prepaid service.  This marks the first time you can do so legally.  Straight Talk is now selling sim cards and micro sim cards that can be used with many different devices for only $14.99, a very good price for what it allows you to do.  The Straight Talk plan you have to use is the unlimited one, which costs $45 per month, a far cry from what Verizon and AT&T charge.

It’s not a direct comparison between the contract plans and Straight Talk’s, and there have been some documented cases of people being cut off from their Straight Talk service for using too much data.  I’ve also heard that ST allows something like 100mg of transfer a day before you come onto their potential cancellation radar.

But personally, I have never spoken to anyone who has had their Straight Talk account disabled for using too much data.  And those who did were probably abusing the account in some way.  If you are a “normal” or “average” cell phone user, who browses the web, makes texts and calls, then you have nothing to worry about using an iPhone with Straight Talk unlimited.

With the iPhone and Straight Talk Unlimited, you essentially get the best of both worlds, a typically contract phone and a powerful prepaid plan.

The Nokia E71 for Straight Talk is one of the best phones you can get from this prepaid provider.  It’s a stylish phone with 3G capabilities and email access, plus many more features that are useful in your daily life.  The Straight Talk Nokia E71 is available now for only $49.  Not a bad price at all for a phone that used to cost $149.  The reason it is so inexpensive is because it is a refurbished phone, which means it has been fixed up and cleaned to be just like new, and the savings passes right down to you.

The Nokia 6790 has also been moved to this price.  At only $49 for the 6790, you’re looking at the lowest price that Straight Talk has ever had this phone.  It’s available online at this price, but remember that just like the E71 it is a reconditioned handset, which, let’s be honest means it’s used.  This is not a bad thing at all because only phones that operate perfectly are allowed to be resold as reconditioned.  Most people don’t care because they’re getting a good deal on a phone, but some people do care.

The Nokia E71 works with the Straight Talk Unlimited plan which gives you unlimited service.  Definitely have a look at this deal and see if you are interested in the phone.  This deal may not last very long.  It is an online-only deal.

I like this deal for the Nokias 6790 and E71, but let me tell you where I really stand on this issue.  If I’m already going to be spending $49 on a phone for a reconditioned one, to me (and this is just how I see things), I prefer to spend another $100 and get a brand new phone.  I wouldn’t always want to do this, but with Straight Talk, you can get a seriously good Android phone for only $149. Straight Talk Android Phones

The LG Optimus Q is a very nice phone that will perform awesomely through text, web browsing, and overall navigation.  This is probably my favorite TracFone Straight Talk Android phone right now.  So, if I’m buying a new prepaid phone today, my choice is probably to spend a little bit more money and get the higher quality phone.  Probably the best priced Android phone from Straight Talk is the Samsung Galaxy Precedent (pictured below).  It was the first Android released by this company and is a very nice phone, but I’m still partial to the Optimus line of phones and the price of that phone is only $30 more, which I think goes right into the Q’s performance.

Android Update: Straight Talk is on the verge of releasing its third android phone.  This phone will be out very soon and promises to be the best ST phone available yet.  Read about the Straight Talk Optimus and the Precedent, the first two androids.

Straight Talk has some tip top smart phones that kill when paired to the unlimited ST plan.  You gotta love an all inclusive $45 unlimited plan (especially if you love to text, talk, and browse the web — oh yeah, everyone loves to to do all three of these things).
